Youth and Community Digital Safety and Counter-Hate Speech Initiative

Two young women seated together during a session

MDH implemented this community-focused initiative to strengthen awareness and resilience among young people, university students, media actors, and online communities against harmful digital content and unsafe online behaviour.

The project addressed digital safety, hate speech, misinformation, disinformation, online abuse, responsible information sharing, and peaceful digital engagement.

Through university engagement sessions, community discussions, awareness materials, media content, and youth-focused activities, participants were equipped with practical knowledge to identify harmful content, verify information before sharing it, protect themselves from online risks, and engage more responsibly across digital platforms.

The initiative promoted the positive use of digital platforms as tools for tolerance, social cohesion, responsible civic engagement, and peaceful coexistence.
