Our Story
How Maandeeq Development Hub began
Maandeeq Development Hub (MDH) is a women-led organisation established in 2014 to advance inclusive development, resilience, and peacebuilding through sustainable, community-driven solutions across Somalia.
MDH addresses interconnected development challenges through an integrated approach that combines economic empowerment and innovation, resilient livelihoods and environmental action, and peace, civic engagement, protection, and community wellbeing.
Through its three programme pillars, MDH designs and implements practical interventions that strengthen livelihoods, expand access to opportunities and services, build community resilience, and promote social cohesion.
Across all programmes, MDH provides capacity-building and training, media and strategic communication, and research, monitoring, evaluation, and learning services to strengthen institutions, improve public engagement, generate reliable evidence, and enhance programme quality and accountability.

How We Deliver
The capacity behind the work
Programmes are designed and run in-house, with the systems and governance that donor funded work requires.
In-house technical teams
MDH staffs qualified professionals across project management, gender and social inclusion, communications, training, monitoring and evaluation, and financial management.
Systems built for donor standards
Financial management, procurement, monitoring, safeguarding, and reporting systems are aligned with international donor requirements.
Delivery track record
MDH has managed grants transparently, delivered activities on schedule, mitigated implementation risks, and achieved sustainable outcomes.
