Who We Are
A women-led organisation, working since 2014
Maandeeq Development Hub (MDH) is a women-led organisation established in 2014 to advance inclusive development, resilience, and peacebuilding through sustainable, community-driven solutions across Somalia.
MDH addresses interconnected development challenges through an integrated approach that combines economic empowerment and innovation, resilient livelihoods and environmental action, and peace, civic engagement, protection, and community wellbeing.

Strengthening the Somali Women Journalists Network and Leadership Platform
Strengthened the institutional capacity, coordination and leadership of women journalists in Banadir through a sustainable network structure.
March – July 2025
Development of a Digital Networking Platform for Women Journalists
Established a dedicated digital platform giving women journalists in Dhusamareb a professional space for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
August – December 2023
Women Journalists Leadership, Mentorship and Professional Development Programme
Connected experienced women journalists with emerging professionals through structured mentorship, leadership workshops and peer learning.
