Maandeeq Development Hub works to widen who takes part in Somali public life, and to strengthen the institutions that decide how it runs. This page sets out what that has amounted to so far, what can be counted, and what cannot yet be.

How to read this page
Development reporting often runs the three together, so a training that happened is presented as a change that followed. They are separated here, and each figure on this page says which of the three it belongs to.
The work MDH runs: trainings, mentorship programmes, network and platform development, forums, and policy recommendations. All ten assignments on this site are described at this level.
What can be counted afterwards: sessions delivered, people trained, institutions partnered, places reached. The figures in the next section are outputs, and only those the record states.
The change that follows: what participants do differently, and what institutions do differently. MDH describes intended contributions in its write-ups. Independent outcome measurement is not yet published, and is not claimed here.

Who benefits
MDH is women-led and designs its programmes around four priority groups. The published assignments concentrate on the first of these, women working in Somali media.
