Women Journalists Leadership, Mentorship and Professional Development Programme

Participants seated along a conference table in discussion, water bottles and papers in front of them

This programme was designed to strengthen the leadership capacity, professional development, and long-term career growth of women journalists through structured mentorship, peer learning, and professional networking.

Experienced women journalists were connected with emerging professionals through a national mentorship programme supported by leadership workshops and networking sessions. These activities created opportunities for participants to exchange experiences, build professional relationships, and strengthen their confidence and leadership skills.

MDH also developed mentorship manuals and professional development toolkits to support continued mentor–mentee engagement, career planning, knowledge exchange, and peer support beyond the formal programme period.
